Whether she's carrying a giant prop onto the stage, delivering an energetic lip sync, or making an audience laugh until their cheeks hurt, Airress has one goal: leave people happier than when they arrived.
The Windsor-based performer has spent the past two years building a reputation as one of Southwestern Ontario's most entertaining up-and-coming drag artists, bringing together her love of theatre, video games, comedy, and camp into performances that are equal parts ridiculous and unforgettable. As she prepares to perform at Windsor Pride on August 9th and celebrate graduating from St. Clair College's hairstyling program, Airress continues proving that authenticity—and a healthy dose of chaos—can brighten even the toughest days.
Live, Laugh, Slay Puss
From video games to giant props, Airress is turning everyday joy into unforgettable drag.
Airress doesn't take herself too seriously—and that's exactly the point.
Describing her drag as "silly, serious, and unserious," the Windsor performer has embraced chaos as an art form, creating performances filled with oversized props, theatrical storytelling, and infectious energy.
"I hope people leave feeling happy," she says, comparing the experience to enjoying a 20-piece McDonald's Chicken McNugget meal. It's an unexpectedly perfect description for a performer whose goal is simply to spread joy.
Her drag journey actually began long before she stepped onto a stage. The name Airress originated from her online gaming days, evolving from a Dungeons & Dragons character named Eris before becoming her longtime World of Warcraft character and gamer tag. Years later, when drag entered her life, the name came with her.
Gaming remains one of her biggest passions, alongside fast food and what she jokingly describes as her bed's "strong gravitational pull." Those playful interests naturally spill into her drag, creating an artist who isn't afraid to embrace absurdity while still delivering polished performances.
Visually, Airress describes her aesthetic as "Goodwill and rhinestones, with a sprinkle of delusion." It's a style that's instantly recognizable, often featuring oversized accessories and giant props—from enormous hats and flowing capes to oversized cigarettes, joints, and bongs.
"The bigger the better," she laughs.

But beneath the comedy is a performer deeply committed to community.
One of Airress' proudest accomplishments isn't a title or competition—it's helping normalize queer visibility throughout Windsor and Essex County. Whether performing at bars, breweries, colleges, restaurants, street fairs, or community events, she's intentionally bringing drag into spaces where people may have never experienced it before.
"The more representation we have," she says, "the louder and prouder we become."
Her greatest inspiration comes much closer to home.
Watching her sister overcome adversity and grow into a thriving adult has motivated Airress to continue chasing her own dreams. That resilience shines through in her performances, balancing humour with genuine heart.
That balance is perhaps best captured in the message she hopes every audience member takes home.
"Life is so crazy and overwhelming," she explains. "I hope people remember that it can also be silly."
In a world that often feels heavy, Airress offers something refreshingly simple: permission to laugh.
