Pride Day Takes Over Lanspeary Park

Windsor-Essex celebrated Pride with an unforgettable afternoon of music, drag, and community.

After Windsor-Essex's Pride Parade made its way through the streets, the celebration continued at Lanspeary Park for Pride Day 2026—a free, all-ages celebration that brought the community together for an afternoon of music, drag, entertainment, and Pride.

Taking place on Sunday, August 9, Pride Day transformed Lanspeary Park into a vibrant hub of celebration, with thousands of people coming together to enjoy the entertainment, explore more than 70 merchant, non-profit, and food vendors, and celebrate the diversity and spirit of the Windsor-Essex community.

Leading the festivities were Detroit's Drag Royalty Sabin, serving as the Official Pride Day Host, and Windsor comedy queen Mel Lucier, who kept the afternoon moving with their unique personalities and infectious energy.

The Pride Day stage was filled with colour, charisma, and plenty of personality as an incredible lineup of performers took the spotlight.

Sevynn, Hudson Bae, Airress, Kristie Kreme, Kristen Mingle, and B. Martini each brought their own unique style to the celebration, delivering performances that kept the crowd entertained throughout the afternoon.

From high-energy numbers to crowd-pleasing performances, the drag lineup showcased the incredible talent within Windsor-Essex's drag community while adding plenty of sparkle to an already vibrant Pride Day.

With Sabin and Mel Lucier at the helm, the entertainment remained energetic, playful, and unmistakably Windsor-Essex.

The celebration wasn't just about drag. Pride Day also featured an impressive lineup of live musicians and bands that kept Lanspeary Park rocking throughout the afternoon.

Big Louis and the Band, Kate Channer Band, Casual Cries for Help, and Porcelain brought a diverse mix of sounds to the stage, giving the crowd plenty of reasons to dance, sing along, and settle in for the afternoon.

The live music helped create the perfect festival atmosphere, with performances providing a soundtrack to a day centred around community, connection, and Pride.

With its combination of live music, drag performances, vendors, food, activities, and a crowd ready to celebrate, Pride Day once again proved to be one of the biggest highlights of Windsor-Essex Pride Fest.

More than just the closing celebration following the parade, Pride Day provided a space for the entire community to come together, spend time with friends and family, discover local businesses and organizations, and celebrate Pride in their own way.
