After 20 years of silence, one man shares his longing to express himself through drag—and asks how to finally find the courage.

When I was in high school, I would look at some of the clothes that the girls wore and think to myself "That looks comfortable" or "I can see myself wearing that." I was a straight kid wanting to wear a dress every once in a while… and makeup too. I even wanted to enter some drag shows, but never did due to fear.

The fear of being labeled something that I'm not. The fear of being laughed at, picked on and bullied. All because I wanted to explore myself differently and wear clothes every once in that's not normal for my gender. And because of that, the dream died.

I was a straight kid wanting to wear a dress every once in a while and makeup too. But fear kept me from ever trying.

Over twenty years after graduating from high school, the dream has been reignited once more.

I recently started writing a story about guy, who dreamed of being a drag queen and his dream comes true. Writing this story has reignited the dream.

Do you have any advice on how to finally move past the fear, so I can finally live out my dream, at least for one night.
